Urbanism studies the ways of life that may be found within the urban community. For example, urbanism is associated with culture, meanings, symbols, patterns of daily life and processes of adjustment to the environment of the city, but also with social conflict political organization at the street, neighborhood and city levels. Many aspects that define urbanism are found in this image, but not all. Louis Wirth used population size, density, and heterogeneity to study cities through Urbanism. He wrote that studying characteristics of people in the city and how certain cities produce a different “urban” culture. Urbanism is a dependent variable. Higher the score of the three factors defines a city of having more urban culture.
