This intensive course (Jan 5-9, 2026) explores the biblical interpretation as embodied in Africana (continental and Diasporic) interpretive approaches. The main aim is to both familiarize ourselves with the different methodologies of biblical interpretation emerging from the non-western Africana readings, and examine their distinctiveness relative to the dominant western approaches. Examination of the contexts, underlying questions, and impact and prospects of the Africana approaches in relation to the larger discipline of biblical studies.
